Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, January 17th, 2012 at 6:00pm in Meeting Room A/B in the Main Public Library in Huntsville. We will be discussing progress on the Alabama Trail, recapping the year and setting goals for next year, as well as winter hikes and trail work.

Statewide News and Events
- The AHTS will be holding our annual conference on March 9th – 11th, 2012 at the 4H Center in Columbiana, Alabama. The key note speaker this year will be Michael Leonard, the man who made the connection of the Pinhoti Trail to the Appalachian Trail a reality. Additionally there will be 3 days of presentations on hiking gear, hiking destinations in the Southeast, history, the environment, hands on presentations and much more.
